SF TTS ~ 2009 Audi TTS in San Francisco

March 19th, 2010 | by admin |

This is about a year old now and while I still like it you should check out the new webisode series at the top of my page. Oh yes, and please subscribe for more car craziness!

…… somebody’s Sprint Blue 2oo9 Audi TTS ripping around San Francisco from ChinaTown to Treasure Island and then out into the Headlands to make sweet love to some twisties on another great Northern California Rd. This TTS is lowered on H&R springs (no Coil-overs because this car has magride) and a custom built CAI using AEM parts.

Why is he driving around without licence plates? lol.

TTS is great, I drive a TT 2.0 myself.

Very nice. Great video btw. Saw your first webisode on Fourtitude. It was very well done. Looking forward to seeing how the project turns out.

    I watched it again …
I watched it again as well, and the pitch of the pavement in that section of road really compresses the car to help it blast out of that hairpin. You get pretty good control there, but I never noticed how snappy the turn looks until you pointed it out. ESP was off.

    The change in …
The change in trajectory the car makes at 2:10 is unreal. I have a 2.0T TT myself, and I could never imagine it being able to change direction like that. Then again, we don’t have those lovely driving roads in Orange County that you guys have up north for me to find out.

What were your ESP settings? Just curious, watched it 3 or 4 times. Maybe it was just the camera angle.

    Cheers

Truely a great video. Although I’m not from there, the music seems to capture the atmosphere of downtown SF perfectly. I watched the video for the TTS, but I enjoyed the scenery much more, lol!

Thanks for the kind words man. SF is an Audi city for sure, so I thought I’d build on that factoid. The B8 A4 is a really nice design. Ibis white looks insane!

very nice video! I would love to see more videos, perhaps by crisy fields or by the embarcadero, or maybe drifting down lombard. ok maybe not the lombard part… well only if you want.. lol anyways I love the car. A good audi video is always admired however rarely credited. Im saving up for my first 09 a4 – hopefully I can get it by the end of this year.

Thanks for the comment. Next video that I do, will be in HD and will be shot on sunny SF days, which we do have quite a few of throughout the year. This video was purposely shot on overcast days to create the “mood”. Good news about a sprint blue TTS, is don’t think I’ll run across a bunch of others in that exact color in the SF bay!

You know, I’ve never seen the S5 in Sprint blue, but the RS4 in this color looks amazing in person. Phantom with rims looks great in the S5. Some guy in Berkeley, CA has one on 20″s that looks really hot.

Good question, and here is the honest scoop about it. The ride DID NOT suffer at all. NO rubbing and NO scraping, even over high speed bumps. Magride still works as great as it did before. Highly recommended mod!

    did the ride suffer …
did the ride suffer after you lowered it? did you get the H&R springs for the audi tt quattro(#29102-2) because the TTS comes with the mag ride so i did kno if it made a diffrence
